Connected is an experiment set out to explore how designers and craftsmen adapt their working practices during lockdown.

The innovative red oak “Blushing Bar” is the result of the collaboration between the architects Chan + Ears and Sebastian Cox with the AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council). 

Waugh Thistleton Architects and Arup have collaborated with the American Hardwood Export Council to create an interactive modular maze-like installation in The Sackler Courtyard at the V&A.

With the aim of making the structure of the building closer to the philosophy of the Centre, the dRMM Architects studio chose tulipier for the positive influence of wood on people and because it is about 70% more resistant to bending than a typical wood of coniferous CLT.

Located at the entrance of the Ramat Gan central business district in Tel Aviv, it presents a richly detailed and dynamic façade to visitors entering the city.

The wooden “cocoon” is conceived by designers as a refuge from the urban hustle and aspires to settle in public spaces in the United Arab Emirates.
