Caleide lamp: a tangle of light and metal
The Caleide collection of lamps, designed by Federica Cammarota for De Castelli harmoniously entwines light and metal.
Each lamp in the collection takes shape via unique geometric compositions which give rise to a multitude of expressions. Rectangles, circles, teardrops and trapezoids create sophisticated geometric volumes.
Steel, brass and copper alternate in oxidised and brushed finishes, enriched by an interplay of forms which elevate the slender circular slab which encapsulates the light source in a polychromatic mosaic, a canvas which stimulates the senses of the observer.
At the centre of the lamp, a blown frosted glass orb diffuses direct yet delicate light as it reverberates upon the metal surface, exalting tones and shades. Every lamp in the collection is thus an exceptional object which illuminates and decorates with originality and sophistication.
Caleide can be mounted on the wall or ceiling and it comes in three decorative motifs and three diameters: 90, 60 and 30 cm.
