From Design Week, Pedrali's 2016 novelties

Four new collections and models that enlarge the existing range of Pedrali, have been presented during the recent Milan Design Week. A design process pursued along with the designers Patrick Jouin, Odo Fioravanti, Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo, Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci, Pio and Tito Toso, Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli and since this year Patrick Norguet. It’s the French designer to sign the Vic collection, which consists of comfortable and simply elegant upholstered armchairs. The back lifts up from the seat while remaining tied only at the ends. The resulting opening provides the armchair with lightness and eases its handling. The legs in solid ash wood are perfectly jointed thanks to a carter under the seat.

Design by Odo Fioravanti, Dome is moreover a collection of seatings that brings back to mind the glorious tradition of the bistrot chairs with curved silhouettes and generous shapes. It recalls the domes of the monuments adorning a lot of cities all around the world. Delicate details of the injected polypropylene remember the joints of the solid wood defining a seating available with or without armrests. The version with perforated shell features a texture recalling the industrial metal plates.

Lunar by Pio and Tito Toso has been conceived as a solid geometrical shape from which the material has been removed to design an essential and light table. All these features enhance the architecture of the space where the table is placed. The base consists of four trapezoidal steel rods and can be combined with tops of different sizes and finishes.

Then, Oblique, a modular bar counter made of polyethylene, with straight, convergent lines. The oblique front side makes the approach of the visitor easier. It is composed by linear and corner elements in white opaline or grey. The adjustable feet enable a perfect line-up of the different modules. It can be enriched by upholstered panels in fabric or simil leather, combined with a top of white methacrylate or black Fenix. A set of shelves in stainless steel and a lighting kit for the opaline version are also available.
