ABK: bespoke bathroom, large-format panels and "cementine" cement-based tiles

ABK (Hall 16 stand B34-C31) will be unveiling its latest contemporary design products for residential and commercial environments at Cersaie, from 24 to 28 September. WIDE.12  is an addition to ABK’s range of large-format porcelain ceramic panels made using Continua+ technology, and is available with various surface effects, including metal, stone and marble. The new 160x320 cm panels have a thickness of 12 mm, making them ideal for producing custom-made worktops, especially for kitchen applications, because of their strength, immutability and ease of cleaning.

The WIDE range also formed the basis of the Bath Design project previewed at the last edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan. It’s a collection of furnishing elements that coordinate perfectly with the brand’s floor and wall tiles, which ABK designed as a means of developing "bespoke” bathroom environments.

ABK has also extended its offering with Play, a trend-setting project that brings back the more playful and decorative spirit of ceramic. The 20x20 cm square tile is the leading light of this collection (which also includes a number of other modern, painstakingly crafted items) and features patterns, graphics and colours that draw inspiration from majolica and “cementine” cement-based tilesPlay is a versatile solution that’s suitable for a wide range of applications in public and commercial environments, and in conjunction with other ABK , collections, such as the recently launched Nest wood-effect floorboard-type tiles.
