ABK Group: industrial atmospheres, street art and fragments

For Coverings 2018, ABK Group will present the new ceramic collections of its brands Abk, Flaviker and Ariana.

ABK shows the manifold expressive forms of cement with the project LAB325 and the aged wood effect of the collection NEST.

LAB325 consists of three different surfaces (Base, Form and Metal), dominated by neutral shades and industrial atmospheres. On the other hand, the features of aged wooden slabs inspire NEST patterns; the collection takes the 3D details of the original material, such as cracks and stuccoes, as it can be used for different combinations.

The hyper-realism also characterizes Flaviker's new proposals, HYPER and RIVER. The first one is inspired by the aesthetics of cement and is enhanced by a special series of slabs based on street-art, designed in collaboration with the Tattoo & Visual artist Tiziano Colella. RIVER is a reinterpretation of Venetian “battuto” floors: it enhances the stoneware with the fragment effect, without hiding the signs of wear and adjustment suffered over the centuries. The maxi slabs have formats that range from 160x320 cm to the smaller and more decorative ones 10x60 and 30x30 cm. The micro-cobbles reproduced on them, which are crossed by long and thin cracks, give movement to the slabs.

With MINERAL, Ariana explores slate and interprets it in a collection of minimal elegance, with three-dimensional effects that simulate the natural unevenness of the original stones on the smooth surface. The range MINERAL is available in the 120x240 cm format up to the small 10x30 cm “brick”, easily adapting to outdoors too.

Finally, the new collection WORN – inspired by Chesterfield sofas’ worn leather and declined in a palette of four colors and six 6 sizes – has formats from 10x60 cm up to the new slabs 120x270 cm.

Appointment at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, from May 8 to 11 in the Italian pavilion, booth #2517.
