ABK Group, a leading Italian ceramic tile producer with facilities in Solignano and Finale Emilia (Modena) and a turnover of about 6.5 million sq.m/year generated by the brand names ABK, Ariana and Flaviker, recentlycompleted an innovative R&D project.
Following the success of the "Auto-leveling" panels (designed to self-level during installation thanks to a dedicated technology that ensures perfect flatness), the group is now launching Wall&Porcelain.
Developed in the ABK Group's laboratories, Wall&Porcelain is a new kind of porous stoneware that is ideal for use as an interior wall covering and combines the advantages of both porcelain and double fired or monoporosa tiles while eliminating the problems typically associated with these products.
On the sidelines of the presentation of the new product to the sales force, we met Alessandro Fabbri, the group's CEO for sales and marketing, and Gilberto Pedna, head of technical research.
Our in-depth discussion revealed ABK Group's intention not just to revolutionise the ceramic wall tile segment but to do so while focusing on environmental sustainability and bringing major savings in terms of natural resources.
