The latest one, with the American abstract artist Kiki Slaughter, features wallpaper based on two new artworks by her, Safari and Dreamboat.
Dreamboat was painted with oil and acrylics on canvas in a palette of petrol blues and moss greens. Originally a diptych of canvases, Dreamboat demonstrates the experimental, organic and textural nature of Slaughter’s art.
Safari adds an extra touch of luxury. Amongst the artfully weathered layers of oil and acrylic-lay dashes of metallics: gold, bronze, steel and patinated coppers.
Both wallpapers faithfully reproduce the dramatic detail of Slaughter’s original artwork: the warp and weft of the canvas; the fine markings from her brush strokes; the crafted cracks running through layers of oil paint.
FEATHR’s and Slaughter’s first collaboration—the Oh La La wallpaper and fabric collection—has been awarded Surface of the Year 2017 (World Interiors News Awards), along with no.2 spot at the Homes & Gardens Wallpaper of the Year Awards 2016.
Safari and Dreamboat are available as repeatable wallpaper panels, 150 cm wide and 320 cm high. Both designs are available on substrates suitable for both residential and commercial projects.
