New vinyl flooring by Gerflor

For its debut at Fuorisalone, the famous multinational company specialized in the vinyl flooring Gerflor has chosen Materials Village, the hub of Material ConneXion Italia dedicated to materials, new technologies and sustainability, now at its fourth edition.

Winner in 2016 of the Red Dot Award and of the Janus 2017 for the vertical installation system Clic V3, the brand will introduce two new proposals dedicated to residential projects. The first, Diamond Collection - Line HQR, has a floor roller with geometric design, inspired by the shape of the diamond and available in three colors (Blue, Cream and Bric). Behind the form, there is an exclusive patented Gerflor system called GFT – a multi-material structure that exceeds all standards in terms of ease of use, robustness, ease of installation but especially environmental awareness. The line is in fact produced with the fibers recovered by the disposal of plastic bottles.

Fishbone – Line Senso and Line Exclusive Creation 55 and 70 take inspiration from the return of the dovetail installation for the traditional parquet. Gino Venturelli, Art Director of the Gerflor Group, explains: «We have worked carefully to the composition of matched lozenges, in order to harmonize different color tones, more or less discolored. In order to stress the originality of the project, also the structure of the wood has been made respecting the 45-degree cutting, to provide a tactile consistency of the surface».

The blocks are meant to be installed irregularly as the normal wooden slats, but the Gerflor patent allows installing the right module and the left one, including for each box 6 right blocks and 6 left ones.

Finally, there are also “smart” news: the prototyping of a particularly innovative floor, especially designed for the installation in the hospitals. With the artistic managing of Venturelli, the product has also found a pleasant aesthetic identity, thanks to the use of the “sincroporo” that, simulating the original material effect, ensures an absolutely realistic surface.
