Starwood is the latest challenge of the ceramic leader Porcelanosa, just presented at the Milan showroom of the brand and previously launched in February during the XXIV International Exhibition of Global Architecture and Interior Design in the headquarters of the Group. It is a collection of surfaces with an amazing wood effect created after a long period of researches: in 8 months, more than 26 countries have been visited to analyse over 1,500 shrubs and 18,000 photographs of woodcuts.
The models of ceramic woods created are four: Tanzania, Vancouver, Nebraska and Minnesota. They share a very realistic wooden essence, featured in 12 shades, which can be potentially combined with four decorated pieces for both floors and walls: Eden, Ice, Desert and Noa.
The production process aims at imitating the craftsmanship of the slabs, creating an accurate reproduction of gnarls and imperfections. The refined aesthetics of the wood combines with the useful technical features of ceramics, guaranteeing product’s greater duration over time and daily maintenance ease. Starwood quality owns the certifications ISO 9001 - which is applied to design, distribution and marketing of floors and walls tiles and special ceramic parts - and ISO 14001, for company's strong focus on environmental sustainability.
The new line can be used for several spaces: both in commercial and residential environments; both indoor and outdoor, even for environments with high moisture content like the bathroom.
