Salvatori presents Patchwork by Piero Lissoni

The family-owned Italian design brand presents Patchwork by Piero Lissoni for the first time in the US at its North American flagship showroom and boutique in the epicenter of New York City’s luxury fashion district.

Salvatori, the award-winning Italian design company specializing in natural stone, is pleased to announce the US-debut of its latest innovative wall finish, Patchwork by Piero Lissoni, at its newly opened North American flagship showroom and boutique at 102 Wooster Street.

The collection was first launched at Salone del Mobile, April 18 - April 23, 2023, alongside three other collections: the Hito bathroom range, also by Piero Lissoni, Passepartout, another sustainably sourced wall finish, and the Wood Collection of wall finishes. Patchwork will be the first of the new launches available for in-person viewing in the US, making its debut during NYCxDESIGN’s annual citywide design festival.

With a deep respect and understanding of natural stone, Salvatori is committed to working with creatives and innovators, such as architect Piero Lissoni, to find new ways to reduce waste and conserve precious materials. The Patchwork wall finish is composed of small squares of a single natural stone in various signature Salvatori textures, including Bamboo and Spaghetti. The squares of stone are sourced from manufacturing offcuts that would have otherwise gone to waste and are repurposed to create a patchwork of various textures and sizes.

The result is a geometric assemblage that creates an interplay of different patterns and dynamic three-dimensionality. With a wide array of options for customization, including variations in color and texture, Patchwork allows designers and end consumers to compose an arrangement catered to their specific tastes.

Repurposing offcuts from the brand’s most iconic wall textures, Patchwork will be seamlessly integrated into Salvatori’s newly opened North American flagship showroom and boutique, making its US debut at NYCxDESIGN’s annual festival. Salvatori’s dual-level 6,400-square-foot showroom, designed by international design studio Yabu Pushelberg, demonstrates the brand’s ‘Total look’ design capabilities encompassing innovative textural surfaces, sculptural bathroom products, and contemporary home décor pieces, all crafted from beautiful Italian natural stone.

“We are so excited to showcase Patchwork at our new New York Showroom for the first time during NYCxDESIGN's annual festival,” said Salvatori CEO, Gabriele Salvatori. “Designed by our long-time collaborator and friend, Piero Lissoni, the collection is yet another step toward a sustainable future in which respect for our planet’s natural resources is a priority. We like to think of Patchwork as a form of poetry written in stone and we cannot wait for its intriguing play of texture, color, and customizability to inspire the local design community in New York.”

Patchwork will be available for preview at Salvatori’s New York showroom and boutique, the brand’s third standalone global destination following Milan and London, from May 18th. The showroom is located at 102 Wooster Street in Soho, New York, and is open Monday through Saturday, 11AM-6PM.
