Designed by the Art Director Gino Venturelli, together with the brand Design Team, the collection Taralay Impression 2017 by Gerflor consists of a range of highly creative PVC surfaces, conceived for the floorings of different professional life contexts, ranging from healthcare (hospitals, clinics, rest homes ...) to education and offices, from catering to commercial spaces.
The collection Taralay is divided into two large groups – the soundproofing Taralay Impression Comfort and Taralay Impression Compact, compact flooring (U3 / U4 categories) – both of which offer the maximum personalization of spaces and 21 decorative effects.
The textile effects are really relevant, with the two decorations Trame and Gentleman, while the wood effects revisit the traditional essences and the layering systems in a modern way. On the other hand, the mineral tendency is embodied by Mohair, with its printed textured cement effect, and Cement, with a sandblasted effect. Moreover, the delicate but structured motifs reveal a significant and typifying strength with Stars or Nest and their lines effects; on the contrary, the plain colours have 13 uniform and trendy shades.
Besides the stylish features, the product has remarkable technical performances that are the result of Gerflor's ongoing R&D activity. In fact, Taralay Impression 2017 has been designed to ensure the full wellness, thanks to its resistance to traffic (anti-wear layer ranging from 0.7 mm to 0.9 mm), a better acoustic performance (compact: 0.03 mm/8dB - comfort: 0.08 mm/19 dB), the foot traffic resistance, and the ease of maintenance (Surface treatment Protectsol®, Gerflor patented technology).
3 are the laying solutions:
- traditional glued laying;
- fast laying Taralay Impression Fix & Free 740 (double laying: laying the adhesive before floor installation);
- fast laying Taralay Impression 3F (FAST-FIX-FREE) with a pre-adhesive roller that ensures a 3 times faster installation
The collection has been recently awarded with the prestigious IDA International Design Award 2017, the award born in in California in 2007 to identify smart and sustainable design.
