Ceramiche Piemme and its creative collaboration with Benoy

After the surface collections made with Gordon Guillaumier and Pierre Charpin, the famous tile manufacturer Ceramiche Piemme is now launching another top quality creative partnership with the international studio Benoy, brand of some of the most famous commercial buildings in the world, including the Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, the last Westfield center in London and the Parc Central in Guangzhou.

The collaboration is being formalized at the Clerkenwell Design Week 2019 in London, during an appointment scheduled for Tuesday, May 21 at 11.30 am, at the London office of the Studio (1 Monkwell Square), in which the Design Director Benoy Andy Piepenstock and Davide Colli, Operations Manager of Ceramiche Piemme are introducing a debate on “tile return in architecture”.

The meeting will be joined by Alice Rawsthorn - an remarkable name in the New York Times, director of the London Design Museum from 2001 to 2006 and winner of the OBE (Order of the British Emperior) for the services provided to design and the arts - and Cristina Morozzi, journalist, writer, critic and art director.

The company from Modena has recently inaugurated the London branch Piemme 40 (called pm forty using the English pronunciation, to resemble M40, which identifies tiles in the Project Charter) in the heart of Clerkenwell, the design district par excellence, on the second floor of Unit 207; that is a strategic space to make the brand even more international.

“After the crucial technological updating and renewal of the range, a cultural upgrade to the project is now essential” – the COO of Ceramiche Piemme since 2018, Colli, claims. “Thus, collaborating with a major international player like Benoy, present with its sites all over the world, is really important. We chose CDW to announce our collaboration and we are very happy to be able to do so by hosting two great experts in the sector”.
