Cersaie 2015, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings held in Bologna from 28 September to 2 October, was attended by over 101,800 visitors, 0.8% more than 2014. These include 48,235 international attendees (1,632 more than in 2014, an increase of 3.5%), who accounted for 47.4% of the total, while the numbers of Italian visitors remained stable at 53,578.
International scope remains one of the key strengths of the Bologna show in terms of both visitors (who came from 150 different countries) and exhibitors. A total of 872 exhibitors took part, including 319 non-Italian companies from 39 different countries, one more than last year due to the addition of Sweden.
This year's Cersaie also saw growing participation by exhibitors from other sectors, most notably wood flooring.
As usual, the show was complemented by events catering for the world of architecture, interior design, installation and end consumers.
Highlights included the Keynote Lecture given by Glenn Murcutt, the seventh Pritzker Prize winner to speak at Cersaie, which was attended by 1,300 people, as well as the Day Off installation by Diego Grandi and the exhibition Cer Stile curated by Angelo Dall'Aglio and Daniele Vercelli.
