"The search for a non-trivial solution coupled with a subtle sense of irony" was the aim of White Stuff, the creators of the Cersaie 2018 poster, a team of students from Accademia di Brera attending the Artistic design for business course and consisting of Naima Annoni, Enrica Caiello, Riccardo Piovesan and Maria Cristina Ziviani.
Their image, entitled Scacco bagno, was chosen from the 43 projects submitted to the eighth edition of the Beautiful Ideas competition as the institutional image for the 36th Cersaie, which gave students attending Italian universities the task of creating the new poster for Cersaie 2018.
"Scacco bagno represents a playful approach to bathroom design, a bizarre composition of the classic elements of sanitary fixtures and tiles arranged in such a way as to catch the eye at first glance. The sanitary fixtures are used like the pawns in a game of chess, moved by the skilful hands of the interior designers as they create the bathroom" explained the young designers, who started working togheter in April 2017 collaborating with the company Oikos to the project "White Beyond Blank".
