The Italian ceramic tiles will be once again the stars of the seventh edition of La Ceramica e il Progetto, the architecture competition organized by Confindustria Ceramica and Cersaie to reward and exhibit the best architectures that had employed the material in an innovative way.
As usual, the initiative includes three award categories – institutional buildings/ residential and commercial street furniture/Hospitality – involving new projects, renovations or recovery interventions, carried out in Italy and abroad by architects and interior designers residing in Italy, completed between January 2015 and January 2018.
A jury of experts and professionals will select them, by evaluating the submitted projects according to criteria of creativity, functionality and aesthetic taste of the construction, and considering the overall design, the use of ceramic tiles and the quality of the installation. The winner of each category, which will be proclaimed during the official award ceremony in early July, will receive a prize of 5 thousand euros.
Even this year, the winning projects will be exhibited in a special exhibition set up in the Galleria dell’Architettura within Cersaie, in Bologna (September 24 to 28, 2018).
