Duravit won four awards at the German Design Award

During the famous German Design Award, Duravit, the German company manufacturing bathrooms’ furnishings, won the Special Mention for the c-bonded technology and three awards for its design projects - B.1, Luv e DuraSquare - as "Winner" of the year.

The console washbasin Vero Air are combined with the vanity unit without joints L-Cube, by means of the peculiar production process of the c-bonded version, a very innovative and winning one. The series of taps B.1 stood out for the soft and round shape of the two versions that allow to arrange freely the washbasin area. On the other hand, the design of the series Luv, by Cecilie Manz, combined the Nordic purism and a timeless elegance, while the oval basins made of DuraCeram® impressed for their wide inner space and the thin edges.

Moreover, with DuraSquare, Duravit created a series that sets new parameters for its precision and essentiality: the design of the washbasins comes from a square and linear shape; the soft inner basin creates a delicate aesthetic contrast with the exact geometry of the series.

This year, the awards have a special value for Duravit AG, being its bicentennial. The company was in fact founded in 1817, in Hornberg. Its timeless classic products, the innovation, the communication projects led the company to win awards in the Red Dot Award, iF Award and Iconic Award. These all stress the undisputed leadership of the company in the global market of bathrooms.
