A new revolutionary modular concept for emotional tourism, described by the evocative name "EDEN Luxury Portable Suite".
This is the proposal of the architect and interior designer Michele Perlini for the Fuorisalone 2018: a smart and self-sufficient micro-suite, ready-to-use without the need for any kind of connection as it exploits solar energy. For these reasons, it is suitable even for inaccessible natural place.
Completely prefabricated, the EDEN Luxury Suite can be easily transported both on the road and with a helicopter. It is already assembled and equipped with customized natural maple interiors.
The basic module - 6 meters long and 3 meters wide - has a large window on the main façade and a one-meter terrace, along its entire length. "A striking telescope effect - Perlini explains - marks out the front of the volume, which seems to amplify the dimension of nature and to bring it as close as possible".
In the versions 9x3m and 12x3m, EDEN can be configured to obtain not only two bedrooms and a living area, but also a sauna and a hammam. The suite includes a bed with an attached table, a wellness shower area (covered in natural travertine) with chromotherapy, a small walk-in closet, a mini-kitchen with induction hob and refrigerator, fixtures with a freestanding basin and a bathtub made of Cristalplant.
In addition, to ensure the highest thermal insulation and minimize leakage in difficult environments, slats made of natural larch wood from controlled forests were used to create a high efficiency envelope.
There are also many available finishes, including material plasters and different types of wood. The lighting system was specially designed to create soft effects, with light cuts and spots, warm and soft tones on the maple wood walls.
Sustainability and the minimization of any environmental impact are as important as luxury. Innovative air conditioning and ventilation systems, high-end electrical systems powered by solar panels and a water tank make the module completely self-sufficient and eco-friendly.
