The eighth edition of MADE expo ended on March 11, the fair of architecture and construction industry that took place at the Rho Fiera Milano center for four days. 1,060 exhibitors and 52 thousand square meters of exhibition space divided into eight pavilions, besides 123 thematic seminars (105 with training credits available) with more than 620 speakers internationally renowned and 11 thousand participants of which more than 6 thousand at BuildSmart. In particular, the four specialized salons - MADE Construction Materials, MADE Building Envelope Windows, MADE Interior Finishing, MADE Software Technologies and Services - and the conference program put the spotlight on topical issues such as the anti-seismic and post-earthquake reconstruction, urban renewal and energy efficiency, urban regeneration and digitization of building industry.
Moreover, the overall attendance reached 106,000, with a 12% percentage of foreign visitors. There were 28 architectural firms at the ARCHMARATHON Arena to present the finalist projects of the 2018 edition of the award with the same name.
The president of MADE Events Roberto Snaidero commented: «The success of this year confirms the great work done by MADE expo team which, although in a not particularly brilliant economic environment, was able to propose innovative solutions and ideas for all the companies that believed in the event. The support of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and its president Michele Scannavini has been also important, for having strengthened the international component of a fair become a point of reference in just eight editions, both for foreign operators interested in the Italian market and for the domestic companies eager to open up to new markets».
