In keeping with its long-standing commitment to sport, Mapei will be sponsoring the UCI Road World Championship again in 2015 as UCI Main Event Partner. This year's championship will take place in Richmond (USA) from 19 to 27 September.
The company has sponsored previous editions of the World Cycling Championships, including Ponferrada 2014, Tuscany 2013, Limburg 2012, Copenhagen 2011, Melbourne 2010, Mendrisio 2009 and Varese 2008.
The nine-day UCI Road World Championships is one of the world's most important cycling events, and pits top-class cyclists against each other in individual time trials, team time trials and road races, divided by category.
This major sports event has always attracted an international audience and seen the participation of world-famous professional cyclists, many of whom cut their teeth at the Mapei Sport Service Centre in Olgiate Olona in the Italian province of Varese.
Mapei's commitment to supporting a range of sports finds expression in the sponsorship of major events, including cycling, as well as in the building and maintenance of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, with the supply of high-tech products and systems.
