Marazzi opens in Paris

On 7 September on the eve of the Paris Design Week, Marazzi opens its new Paris showroom on three floors in the heart of the famous Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter.

The new Marazzi space is located in the V arrondissement, on the Rive Gauche of the Seine, in a building dating from the Haussmann period in the second half of the Nineteenth Century, overlooking Boulevard Saint-Germain and Rue Thénard.

The design concept adopts a layout that adheres as closely as possible to the historic and cultural legacy of the building, which housed a bookshop for many years and in which the first floor apartment has surprisingly been conserved intact, including even the finishings, with its original sequence of rooms complete with mirrors and fireplaces.

The ground floor welcomes visitors and presents the latest Marazzi collections by means of a striking system of “split panels”, while the complete archive of products will be stored in floor-to-ceiling bookcases in the basement.

On the apartment on the upper floor, rooms of different sizes contain tables for meetings of various kinds, alongside tactile moodboards placed against the walls.

The new Marazzi showroom in Paris, the final design for which was produced by Lorenzo Baldini and Antonio Pisano of the Marcel Mauer firm, will be opened on the eve of the next Paris Design Week, on the day of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Vernissage.
