Margraf acquires Santafiora: a new strategic milestone in the pursuit of excellence in Italian manufacturing

Margraf S.p.A., an international leader in the marble sector, announces the total acquisition of Santafiora S.r.l., a historic company that has been active for over fifty years in the extraction and processing of materials for prestigious architectural and urban projects in Italy and abroad.

The transaction represents a strategic investment that consolidates Margraf's position on the global stage, allowing the company to directly and comprehensively oversee all stages of the production chain: from extraction to processing and distribution on international markets.
With the addition of the Santafiora® and Lavagrigia quarries, located in Tuscany and Lazio respectively, Margraf further strengthens its commitment to quality, traceability, and the promotion of Italian-made products.

Santafiora® material stands out for its outstanding technical and aesthetic characteristics: certified hardness and compactness, resistance to water and saline agents, high adaptability to different climatic conditions, and versatility of application, both indoors and outdoors—from facades to cladding, from urban paving to spas. The natural, warm shades, ranging from intense brown to lighter tones, lend uniqueness and elegance to every project.

Lavagrigia, a volcanic material with contemporary colors, completes the range thanks to a perfect balance between resistance, functionality, and aesthetics, in line with the company's vision that combines beauty, durability, and innovation

The integration of Santafiora into the Margraf group aims to boost production capacity through the synergy between the cutting-edge technologies developed by the Veneto-based company and the know-how gained over time in the mining sector.

Santafiora®, Lavagrigia, and Lavarosa thus become exclusive Margraf materials, significantly expanding the range available to architects, designers, and builders looking for solutions that combine aesthetic quality, technical performance, and authenticity.
