Tecnografica has used its innovative decorative and engraving techniques to create artistic manhole covers which will be installed at the new headquarters of Fondazione Prada in Largo Isarco in Milan.
The complex, a former distillery dating from the early twentieth century, occupies an area of 19,000 square metres, including 11,000 square metres devoted to showroom space. It adopts architectural solutions that combine elements of the past and present with very striking results. The new headquarters was designed by the OMA architecture firm led by Rem Koolhaas and is located in Largo Isarco, in the south of the city.
The official opening will take place on Saturday 9 May, but will be preceded by a preview week from Saturday 2 to Friday 8 May.
The manhole covers made by Tecnografica are innovative and elegant details that add prestige to the new headquarters. Created using innovative decoration and engraving techniques, the surface effects combine technical performance and art in perfect harmony with Prada's creative philosophy.
