Tex and Tape by Mutina for the new VitraHaus Loft

Not only the great classics and latest innovations of the Swiss furniture leader, but also eye-catching materials that can complete rooms with a contemporary twist. This is the mix chosen by the couple of designers Raw Edges to shape the new VitraHaus Loft, in Weil am Rhein (Germany), on the fourth floor of the Vitra flagship designed by Herzog & de Meuron.

The space – renovated by Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay and combining living and working areas – is based on colors and a cozy atmosphere, making it suitable for both adults and children. Just in this atmosphere of creative contamination, the ceramic surfaces of the collections Tex and Tape - signed by the studio Raw Edges for Mutina - stand out.

Tex, inspired by textile textures, proposes a tile with an iconic shape reproducing a simplified enlargement of the basic knitting. Moreover, the rhombuses can be arranged in three main patterns, each with a different visual impact.

On the other hand, Tape has a first light background pattern evoking the chalky effect of cement tiles, and a second range of 8 different patterns.
