De Castelli's new Milanese home
De Castelli’s new Milanese home opens in February. The showroom is relocating to a new venue but stays in the city centre. Situated just a short walk from its previous location in Corso Monforte, the new venue provides a larger space in which to welcome clients, partners, professionals and architects, as well as house collections of products, surfaces and the large library of materials featuring the company's exclusive metals and finishes.
The showroom opens at No. 20, Via Visconti di Modrone, in the brightly-lit rooms that had previously been home to an art gallery. The historical and architectural setting is that of "old Milan", and will become a place for meeting, forging partnerships and developing projects.
The new space has been designed by Cino Zucchi Architetti. The studio has been a long-time partner of De Castelli, which has resulted in projects such as the Copycat installation and Archimbuto (“The Archi-funnel”), a temporary project that became the permanent entrance to the Italian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale of Architecture. The project for the new venue successfully showcases the brand’s three core elements: collection, surfaces, and architectural - these embody the company’s great expressive capacity and production expertise in the crafting of metal, the culmination of innovative research which combines outstanding craftsmanship and technological know-how.
