New finishes at the historic Grand Hotel Victoria
The 5-star superior Grand Hotel Victoria has recently undergone a complete modernization. With a long history, it is a late nineteenth-century Art Nouveau masterpiece, nestled among Lake Como and the surrounding mountains in the charming village of Menaggio. The hotel has a restaurant with panoramic lake views and a designer gourmet restaurant, two cafés, a heated outdoor swimming pool, a wellness area with indoor swimming pool, whirlpool tub, four meeting rooms, a fitness room and a playground for children. Above all, the outdoor spaces have been designed to connect with nature and the surrounding landscape.
Cotto d’Este floor and wall coverings were selected for the renovation, in particular for the Spa area, where resistance, antibacterial properties, hygiene and durability are essential features. Kerlite 6Plus Pietra d’Iseo made up of large slabs in the Ceppo shade was used to cover the swimming pool and the floors of the changing rooms, the 20mm thickness was installed on the floor of the pool edge. It is an irregular stone effect porcelain stoneware with tone-on-tone gray colors to customize the environment with character and grace.
In order to enhance the features of Pietra di Iseo and get a pleasant contrast, the modern preciousness of the metal effect characterizes the wall covering where the Kerlite 5Plus Metal laminated porcelain stoneware slabs, Iron version, stand out, creating a contemporary and refined result.
On the other hand, brightness, preciousness and beauty are the main features of the walls of the bathrooms covered with the large thin 100x300 cm slabs of Kerlite 5Plus Exedra, in the Calacatta Glossy tone: the veins of marble stand out for their extreme precision and three-dimensionality that conveys an astonishing visual depth.
Finally, in the lobby of the Spa, Kerlite 3plus Buxy Corail Blanc has been laid on the floor while Kerlite 3plus Black&White covers the lift walls. The intensely natural look lent by Buxy, which draws inspiration from a stone originally from French Burgundy, transmits warmth, while the black used for the lift lends elegance and style. Pleasing to the eye, safe for your well-being.
