The BIG SEE Award 2022 goes to the washbasin O_O by Rexa Design

The freestanding washbasin O_O, designed by Bartoli Design for Rexa Design, dares to perfection and receives the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2022, sponsored by the creative platform BIG SEE, which explores and evaluates the commercial and creative excellence of South Eastern Europe, bringing together 21 countries and 340 million people.

The O_O project marks the return of the Bartoli Design studio into the world of the bathroom and the beginning of the collaboration with Rexa Design, expressing the purity and harmony of forms for a refined elegance.
In the awarded model O_O freestanding, the cylinders of the base and of the bathtub have different proportions but combine in a total formal balance of overhangs and volumes of sculptural relevance that gives life to an iconic object with simple and recognizable geometric shapes.

A carefully designed geometric composition, in which the tub strongly protruding from the base shows a sort of suspended balance that strikes for harmony and elegance. Moreover, it enables the creation of the seat for the tap on the base or of a small surface support when the tap is placed on the wall or on the floor.

The washbasin can be made of Corian® or in Marquinia and Carrara Gioia marble, with the new Acid Shield treatment, designed against acid agents, dyes and greases. This revolutionary protective forms an invisible shield, satin to the touch, protecting against stains, halos, streaks and loss of tone or brilliance, without altering the natural chromatic qualities of stone.
