Verso launches its first exhibition in the Hamptons, NY
Design industry expert Amauri Aguiar and acclaimed architect Bryan Young launched Verso, a new luxury interiors company with a unique approach to the conventional furniture showroom. Verso’s interiors exhibitions will travel the world, bringing one-of-a-kind, limited edition and open series design and art pieces to a variety of destinations, while leveraging an on-line presence to serve a global market of designers, collectors, clients, and enthusiasts.
The first Verso showroom was opened recently in the award-winning Six Square House in Bridgehampton, New York. The 3,500sf, two-bedroom, three-bath home was designed by Young's own New York City-based studio, Young Projects and allows Verso’s interiors products to be presented in context.
The Bridgehampton home, located in the hot-spot Hamptons region outside of New York City, which was mostly overlooked by design galleries until now, is just the first in a series of impressive venues that will host Verso. Future exhibitions are planned for Los Angeles, Miami and José Ignacio, Uruguay.
The company’s name, Verso – meaning the reverse, or back of something – speaks to the founders' interest in the in-depth stories behind their products. Verso specializes in a mix of modern and contemporary design and art, with a focus on handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, limited-edition, open series, and classic re-editions from designers, manufacturers and artists from all over the world.
A selection of Verso’s inaugural collection includes:
- An art installation by Objects of Common Interest, recently presented at the Noguchi Museum (limited edition)
- The Paravent Light Sculpture by Montreal-based lighting company Lambert et Fils (one-of-a-kind)
- A selection of ceramics by Brazilian artist Fernanda Pompermeyer (one-of-a-kind)
