Spacco by Monitillo 1980

Designed by Emmanuel Gallina for Monitillo 1980, Spacco is a marble wall covering consisting of four different modules that can be assembled in different ways to create unexpected interactions between lines.

This mineral-inspired pattern is reminiscent of the wrinkles and undulations that commonly occur in rocky landscapes. The nuances of colour, combined with the irregular lines, give rise to an image resembling a relief map. The engraved curves, with their semi-polished finish, strike a contrast with the surface of the marble, highlighting its warm, velvety appearance.
