Can Zol, Ibiza: all over Travertine effect
Sophisticated Travertine-effect porcelain stoneware finishes, wide views of the exterior, and skillful modernity meet in the residential architectural project curated by Gabriel Olivera, which integrates contemporary design into the natural landscape of the island.
In the hinterland of the island of Ibiza, among the colors of Mediterranean nature, the architect and builder Gabriel Olivera of GO+ has designed villa Can Zol, a private residence with significant volumes, perfectly harmonized with the landscape and surrounded by the tranquility of a farm. In an elevated position and with a splendid panoramic view, the architecture of the building aims to balance the modernity of the structure with the natural environment of the area, paying attention to the balance between aesthetics, sustainability, and living well-being.
Interiors and exteriors appear in continuous dialogue through large windows that overlook terraces, patios, and balconies made directly accessible from the main areas and transformed into extensions of the living areas. The choice of soft and neutral colors, and of materials such as local stones and woods, falls within the design objective of improving the quality of life of the residents, while respecting and enhancing the territory, in line with Olivera's philosophy that does not intend architecture as a mere refuge, but as a means to interact with the surrounding natural space.
A CONTINUOUS TRAVERTINE-EFFECT SURFACE
For the completion of interiors and exteriors, the architectural project favored the use of Travertine-effect porcelain stoneware from the Navona collection by Flaviker (ABK Group), characterized by an elegant aesthetic appearance, with functional characteristics of high durability, ease of maintenance, and great versatility. The Bone color, in the two variants Cross and Vein, gives a sophisticated look to a surface that offers maximum practicality to a family home. The use of Flaviker porcelain stoneware in large formats - 120x280 and 120x120 cm - also creates a strategic continuity that helps to visually expand the spaces, making them appear more open and luminous.
