Fantini Mosaici renews the charm of Palazzo Kiton in Milan
High craftsmanship, made in Italy, experience, passion, unparalleled quality. There are many values that Kiton – high tailoring Italian brand - and Fantini Mosaici have in common.
For the recent restyling of Palazzo Kiton, a historic place of Italian luxury fashion in the lively Milan’s Brera district, Fantini Mosaici took up the challenge of an intervention in balance between conservation and renewal. A tailor-made work thus takes shape perfectly integrating with the project of the architect Bruna Galbusera of B+ARCHITECTS aimed at updating the building while preserving the beauty and original style.
Fantini Mosaici worked in a double area: in the restoration of the terrazzo flooring already present in the external areas and in the creation of the interiors in terrazzo, with the aim of respecting the color palette of Franco Raggi's renovation which took place in the 90s for the headquarters of the Gianfranco Ferrè maison.
The new terrazzo flooring, crafted on-site by Fantini Mosaici artisans, features a seamless pattern that flows throughout the Kiton headquarters. It is made from a blend of candoglia, carrara, bardiglio, and occhialino marble, creating a subtle play of natural and soft shades.
The interiors of the boutique on the ground floor create a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, giving ample space to the visibility of the clothing, which emerge from light shades and impeccable finishes punctuated by slender golden-toned metal structures.
To create a harmonious dialogue between past and present, echoing the aesthetics of Kiton’s design, Fantini Mosaici worked closely with the designer, making the most out of the company’s expertise in the creation of exclusive retail projects for the most prestigious fashion brands in the world.
