Mount Vernon Leisure Center: focus on surfaces

The suburb of artists and writers, Hampstead is located at just a few kilometres away from the London’s city centre. Here, comfortable houses, the right distance from the city centre and the high standard of design and technology of structures give life to a panorama where modernity and traces of the ancient city live side by side.

In one of the wealthiest districts of London, you will find the Mount Vernon Leisure Centre, a very exclusive residential complex, in which (the) SJT Associates studio, and in particular the architect Stuart Thompson, have taken care of the leisure suite of the structure through a particularly refined stylistic research. The porcelain stoneware of Ceramiche Caesar has been chosen to give the floors of the swimming pool and the walls of the bathrooms an elegant appeal

Materials

The substantial and versatile nature of the Absolute collection, installed in its Beola Bianca nuance, characterises the areas surrounding the swimming pools, the grids and the borders, thanks also to the vast range of Aquae Wellness Project trim pieces.

Slab and Portraits have instead been chosen for the spa environments, to offer warmth and a feeling of comfort to the walls of the swimming pool, of the bathrooms and of the wellness areas. Slab recalls the charm of slate and its slightly structured surface. It has been used in the Snow colour and 60x60 cm size; The Wall Mix decoration of the Portraits collection, in the light Comblanchien tone, has given the walls of the swimming pool area a natural stone effect hence creating an attractive atmosphere with a touch of class.
