Cala Ratjada, located about 65 km from the capital Palma in the north-west of the island of Mallorca - the closest point to Menorca - is one of the main tourist destinations of the island and the main port in the Capdepera area.
In these territories, tourism has taken its first steps in the '60s and the port of Cala Ratjada has now turned from a small fishing port into a cruise ships dock.
The Serrano Hotel Spa
Among the many beauties of the island, it is worth to include the Serrano Hotel, located in Playa Son Moll in Cala Ratjada, and its new spa area fully renovated with a project of the architects Arturo Vila, Jose Luis Pujol and Ignacio Pons - 3de3 arquitectos studio – with the collaboration of the interior designer Sara Espinosa.
The spa of the hotel covers an area of 547 square meters, conceived and designed to provide its users with the maximum relaxation, in harmony with the climate and the amazing atmosphere surrounding the Mediterranean.
The entire spa area includes a reception, a swimming pool with Jacuzzi, a relaxation room, sauna, Turkish bath and shower area, besides bathrooms.
During the renovation and in order to get the best aesthetic and qualitative results, architects chose the materials of the PORCELANOSA Grupo for the floors and tiles of pools, baths, saunas and wellness cabins.
- For the coating of the swimming pool was chosen the collection Ferroker Caldera Antislip, produced by the brand Venis.
- In order to ensure the needed anti-slip features of all the wetlands next to the pool, the Newport collection with natural finishing - produced by Venis too- has been installed.
- The walls of all rooms are covered with natural stone Emotions Sandstone Wave, L'Antic Colonial, which have been later decorated and lighted in the upper parts.
- The Turkish bath alternates the ceramic coating Florencia Natural y Blanco - created with vertical lines contrasts – with the small mosaic decorations Mini Iris Stone Greys, produced by L'Antic Colonial.
- The Sky zone combines the Old Natural model of the cabins wall with the Newport Natural floor, also used for the paving of the sauna area, both branded Venis.
Final result: besides meeting all functional requirements, the new Serrano Hotel Spa is the best way to reach mental, physical and emotional harmony.
