In Torno, on the eastern shore of Lake Como, the hotel “il Sereno” is a breathtaking location, recommended by the New York Times in 2016 as “one of the 25 best hotels to visit”.
The Hotel, designed by Patricia Urquiola and Fabio Valentini, is a combination of tradition and modernity. It is inserted and almost incorporated in the lake environment.
Outside, on the shore of the lake, there is a real wonder: a vertical garden full of botanical sculptures -curated by the French biologist Patrick Blanc - and a magnificent infinity pool. Here, the naturalness of the solid wood floor complete this perfect harmony. For this purpose, Ravaioli Legnami, together with Pavilegno srl, provided a customized manufacturing made of Thermo-treated Ash, with concealed milling.
Ravaioli Legnami, famous and esteemed company in the sector of outdoor wooden floors, welcomed with pleasure this collaboration, providing its expertise for the creation of a flooring that is now an integral part of a work now recognized in world design and hotel industry.
