In Turin, in the exclusive area of Borgo Crimea, near the city center, they go on with the restoration of the historic building that has hosted for more than a century the Sacred Heart Institute and later the Lycèe Français.
Thovez11 is an authentic terrace overlooking the heart of Turin and the majesty of the Alps. «Thovez11 was born from the idea of building a home for people who don’t want to exclude anything. It consists in the recovery of a last-generation estate, in line with the new philosophies of respecting territories and environment», Giuseppe Ferrero claimed, President of Ferrero Group and promoter of the project.
The preservation of the pre-existing spaces is undoubtedly one of the main purposes underlying Thovez11’s project: the transformation of the ancient school into a contemporary housing complex is genuinely based on the respect for environment and nature, by using the existing land and thus avoiding the consumption of new soil.
According to the renovation project, all the historic parts will be preserved and valorized, while special care will be given to the secular park, respecting environmental sustainability and limiting maintenance costs.
The balance between all the elements is another distinctive feature: architecture with environment, plant-engineering technology with latest generation materials. This combination is designed not only to maximize living comfort but also to save energy, reduce management costs and environmental impact.
Thovez11 proposes different surface areas, from 50 to 250 square meters, from two-room apartments to large ones with terrace or garden overlooking the city and the hill. In the main historic building, there are more traditional accommodations, all with panoramic terraces, while in the villas, harmoniously inserted in the park, duplexes with private garden have been created.
The villas and the apartments offer great possibilities of customization of the surface areas, the distribution of spaces and interior finishes, especially at this stage of the work.
Each unit, certified in Energy Class A, will also be equipped with an individual meter to fully and constantly monitor and control consumptions, and a home automation system for remote heating, cooling and electricity loads management as well.
The building site, managed by Colombo Costruzioni (boasting the “Bosco Verticale” by Stefano Boeri in Milan and the “Nuvola di Lavazza” in Turin), is moving forward. The works are estimated to finish in October 2018.
