Since its foundation in 1971 by Dale Chihuly, Anne Gould Hauberg and John H. Hauberg, the Pilchuck Glass School, based in the forests north of Seattle (USA), has fundamentally changed the glass art world by bringing artists from around the world to converge, exchange ideas, and challenge each other. Each year, instructors and students cross oceans and borders to participate in Pilchuck’s Summer and Fall programs. These cross-cultural experiences expand artistic practices and bring a world of glass to the campus.
