Launched at the 2016 Imm Cologne, the new lighting solutions by Luceplan lie between poetry and technology, aesthetic and functionality, with the aim of satisfying domestic needs. A special mention goes to Stochastic by Daniel Rybakken.
Winner of the Golden Compass 2014 with the Counterbalance lamp, the talented Norwegian designer has now created a lighting project with an evocative character that, thanks to the dematerialization of the support elements and the volumetric breakdown, takes on a scenic setting and a poetic character. Composed of glass spheres at different heights, the lamp allows for infinite combinations, giving rise to always different light clusters. The LED light source is enclosed within the spheres, like within a cloud, generating a contrasting effect with the glass spheres.
Also to mention the Cappuccina table lamp by Inga Sempé, composed of a slender metal base and a spherical luminous body in opaline glass, containing a LED module, on which the fabric shade lies without any attachment: this configuration makes it possible to move the shade, and orient the light to meet different needs. The decorative concept of the designer consists in a very evocative degradé texture of the two patterns, particularly suitable for the contract sector thanks to the possibility of customizing the fabrics.
It is worth mentioning Soleil Noir by Odile Decq as well. Technological and futuristic, this suspension lamp has an organic form in modeled polyurethane foam, whose LED light source is hidden inside a disk that generates homogeneous diffused, indirect lighting. Supported by a single asymmetrical cable, it keeps its balance thanks to the thicknesses of the body, ranging from 8 to 25 mm, functioning as a slim, aerial lighting element that conveys brightness with discretion and elegance.
