New effects and finishes for the Dekton surfaces by Cosentino

Dekton® by Cosentino - the ultra-compact surface created by the combination of raw materials such as glass, porcelain and quartz, designed by Cosentino Group for the world of architecture and design - launches three new shades of colors on the market, thus enriching the range Dekton® XGloss, launched last March and winner of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016. Natural stone has been the main source of inspiration for the creation of Glacier, Fiord and Tundra, three shades faithful to the latest trends that highlight material peculiarities.

Because influenced by natural elements and the most known materials, these ultra-compact bright surfaces - available in five colors and smooth finishes, marked and homogeneous - state the birth of Dekton® XGloss Natural

In particular, Glacier proposes elegant golden streaks on a white and polished base; Fiord takes inspiration from onyx elegance; Tundra provides instead a white base embellished with gray details evoking the marble surface.

The new products exploit Dekton® XGloss qualities, obtained by means of an advanced nanotech process designed by the R&D department of the Cosentino Group and a mechanical polishing treatment which ensures brightness combined with high resistance to stains, scratches, UV rays and thermal shocks.

The Technology Sintering the Particles (TSP) gives material technical features that make it suitable for both internal and external environments: facades, bathroom and kitchen tops, floors, stairs and many other types of coatings. Dekton® is made of large slabs with formats up to 320 cm x 144 cm and three thicknesses: 0.8 cm, 1.2 cm and 2 cm, with different aesthetic and design possibilities. What is more, it has been already used by the famous designer Daniel Libeskind for his project “Beyond the Wall”.
