Petra: quartzite inspiration for indoor and outdoor

Inspired by the natural elegance of stone, Petra, the new porcelain stoneware collection by Casalgrande Padana, reinterprets quartzite from a modern perspective, taking advantage of its charm and strength. Delicate shades of earth and sand, neutral and gray hues, colors with a modern and natural design blend with the imperfection left by the signs of time.

Available in six different colors (Petra Antracite, Bianca, Grigia, Oro, Perla and Sabbia) and five formats (the small 20x20 cm and 20x40 cm to the classic 30x60 cm and 60x60 cm tiles, up to the large 60x120 cm format), the new stone effect stoneware collection is suitable for both floorings and coverings. The high technical performance and the material texture make it perfect for different settings, ranging from residential construction or restoration to commercial surfaces and public buildings.
The 30x30 cm mosaics, with 5x5 cm or 5x15 cm tesserae, and a new series of brick-effect porcelain stoneware decorations complement the collection.

Petra for the outdoor

Perfectly squared and rectified and with anti-slip surface, the stoneware slabs of the new Petra collection meet any design needs, creating continuity between indoors and outdoors, for the flooring of terraces, patios, verandas, courtyards, pool edges or paths, both on grass and gravel. Thanks to their 20 mm thickness, Casalgrande Padana ceramic tiles can be glued to the screed, ensuring floor a high loads resistance, or dry-laid directly on sand, gravel or grassy surfaces, thus obtaining a floor that can be walked on immediately. Finally, thanks to special polypropylene supports (available with fixed or adjustable heights), raised floors for outdoors can be created so as to house the electrical and plumbing systems in the cavity below.

Antibacterial treatment

Like any Casalgrande Padana collection, Petra can also be requested with Bios Ceramics technology: the latest generation of bioactive ceramics for architectural applications, certified and environmentally friendly, with antibacterial, self-cleaning and pollutant reducing features. The production includes two treatments - Bios Antibacterial® and Bios Self-Cleaning® - responding to any application needs for indoors and outdoors, according to the specific conditions of use, both in public and private environments.
