The "Zip" according to Meneghello Paolelli Associati

Zip, the new entry designed by Meneghello Paolelli Associati for Ceramica Bardelli, is not a simple collection of porcelain stoneware tiles for floors and walls. The rediscovering of the joint is its concept. The grout owns a special decorative value and is a typifying feature of the creative project.

“We decided to shift the design focus from the surface (deliberately neutral) to the element that marks the repetition of the module on the ground, the joint”, the designers explain. "We interpreted the grout as a kind of ZIP, flowing up and down along this long surface”.

Tiles, in the formats 60x60 and 60x120 cm, are in the basic version or with moulded edges. Both are available in three colors: ivory white, anthracite black and terracotta. In the series, the colored and shaped grout becomes a graphic sign inspired by a real zipper, thus creating a covering with a continuous but never ordinary effect. The perfect modularity facilitates the laying and the creation of inventive compositional schemes, suitable in both residential and commercial environments.
