Agape's "convivial bath tub" selected for ADI Design Index 2015

"A friendly, sensual, charismatic object. The soft, sinuous lines of DR offer a wide range of possible uses." That's how the designers, Marcio Kogan and Mariana Ruzante of Brazilian architecture firm MK27, describe the DR bath tub by Agape, a bathroom furnishing specialist, recently selected for the ADI Design Index 2015.

The "convivial bath tub" is also in the running for Product of the Year in the FX International Interior Design Awards, the annual contract furnishing awards organised by the British magazine FX. The winners will be announced at the official prize-giving to be held on 25 November at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.

This flexible two-seater bath tub is shaped in such a way as to offer a relatively small footprint. Made of thermoformed solid surface, it features a curved, multi-layer housing with an oak or teak veneer. A rounded cleavage in the edge of the bath accommodates a column-like tap, which is perfectly functional and attractively styled.
