“In a place of history, we incorporate the oldest manufactured material by virtually removing the support and transforming it into a mobile graphics. By means of the dynamic light, we get a virtual and digital “film” that transforms the archaic support into the material of the future”.
The famous architect Massimo Iosa Ghini commented in this way the installation designed for the brand Ceramiche Ricchetti, which will be hosted at the former Bastardini Hospital during the 2017 edition of the Bologna Design Week, from September 26 to 30.
The relationship between ceramic surface and digital light is investigated through effects of reflection, as a free research to experiment the new creative potentials of ceramics.
A soft light on the slabs is in fact the base of the concept: it will produce effects of dematerialization and create new spaces.
The collaboration between Ceramiche Ricchetti and studio Iosa Ghini associati will not only include the site specific project of the BDW, but it will also focus on the new collection of porcelain stoneware for architecture that Cisa Ceramiche, Group brand, will present at Cersaie 2017.
