Cinecittà, Italy's world-famous film studio chose Edilteco to fireproof its studios 13 and 14 in Via Tuscolana.
The remodelling work on the two studios included 2,000 square metres of steel structures protected with Protherm Light by Edilteco, a plaster made with homogeneously sized virgin expanded polystyrene beads, made inflammable by means of a specific chemical and physical treatment which ensures that they are uniformly distributed within the mix.
The mainstay of the Protherm line, developed to protect structural elements against fire and available in white and grey, Protherm Light was also chosen to protect the steel structures of Bari International airport and to plaster 40,000 square metres of tunnel on Rome's northern ring road.
With its unique chemical formulation, Protherm Light is clean and easy to use, and meets the requirements of European standard EN 13381.
This impact-resistant, weather-resistant, low-density plaster by Edilteco also offers high levels of thermal insulation and is outstandingly quick-setting.
