Mapei for USA pavilion

Mapei Group - together with its parent company Mapei Spa and US sister company Mapei Corp. - is one of the sponsors of the USA Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015.

Mapei took part in the project by supplying the most appropriate and eco-sustainable solutions to meet the various requirements that arose during the different construction phases.

"Mapei Corp. is proud to sponsor the USA Pavilion," announced Luigi Di Geso, President and CEO of Mapei Americas.

Mapei Group has a strong environmental focus, and that's one of the reasons we decided to sponsor the US Pavilion designed by the architect James Bieber according to a strategy founded on environmental sustainability and responsibility. Mapei was able to contribute to this strategy thanks to its vast range of proven products. Since 2001, Mapei Corp has been a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, which is a registered AIA/CES program provider and offers training courses in setting ceramic and natural stone floor tiles, and reclaiming concrete. The Quality Management Systems of the majority of Mapei Americas' units are ISO 9001 certified.

Mapei's expansion into the United States started in 1983 under the leadership of Giorgio Squinzi, with the opening of the company's first site in Temple, Arizona, run by Nick Di Tempora, who remained at the helm of Mapei Corp. until 2013, when he was succeeded by Luigi Di Geso.

Mapei Corp. now plays a key role in the Group's business, and contributed approximately 400 million euros to the Group's global 2014 revenues of 2.3 billion euros.
