During Cersaie 2019, in Castellarano (Reggio Emilia), the new FAB Fiandre Architectural Bureau of Iris Ceramica Group was inaugurated: an innovative exhibition area dedicated to professionals and design lovers. Fiandre entrusted the project to the architecture studio Iosa Ghini Associati, redefining the design language and the exhibition concept of both the interior and exterior spaces.
The renovation involved the internal area of the showroom of approximately 1500 square meters and the external square of 5200 square meters. Every single architectural detail included the use of ceramic slabs worked with careful attention to detail.
The showroom's interior spaces have been divided into two large areas, according to the two core products of the brand: the large slabs and the traditional format. The first area includes the reception hall and a bar-kitchen area with an island covered with 12 mm SapienStone and 6 mm Maximum Fiandre slabs. In this space, you can see the range Maximum by Fiandre, with large-format slabs exposed to the walls or declined in different furnishing elements. The visitor is guided along the itinerary by a weaving of brushed brass tubes that also frames the product, creating an almost metaphysical landscape.
The second area reveals the design possibilities of the traditional format through a path inspired by the spaces of a boutique hotel that includes the hall, the reception desk, wellness and spa area, the connection areas as the access corridor to the rooms, the elevator and the stairs, the suite, the studio, the lobby and the bathroom. In the various rooms, Maximum slabs cover the furnishings. This choice stresses the brand's ability to meet the needs of the HoReCa and luxury residential sector, both with floors and walls, and with custom-made furnishings. Finally, some areas for technical exhibition are available to carry out their projects together with FAB staff.
The showroom overlooks an elevated square of about 5200 square meters; it was mainly used for parking and it has been transformed into a pedestrian area with trees and street furniture covered with Fiandre ceramic surfaces.
Outside, they selected Granitech technical solutions for outdoors with Fiandre Architectural Surfaces and Porcelaingres. Solida slabs by Fiandre, 20 mm special format, pave the central island in a raised floor. A further raised floor area is made of 20 mm thick Urban slabs by Porcelaingres, cut to size in trapezoidal pieces, while Marmi Maximum slabs by Arabescato Orobico cover Granitech external ventilated facades. Thanks to the ACTIVE technology, they also created a “green lung” and a semicircular wall covered with the large slabs of Calacatta Light and Premium White Active by Fiandre.
