Ceramiche Piemme has been chosen to take part in the construction of the "Giardino dei Pini" Hotel & Resort in Marina di Alliste, in the Italian province of Lecce, to a design by the architect Monia Marzano.
The hotel stands out for its warm atmosphere, top-flight hospitality services and particular care for comfort.
Metal, stone, wood and ceramic take centre stage in this typically Mediterranean architectural context, set in the green landscape of the Salento, a stone's throw from the Ionian coast.
A neutral colour palette was used throughout, which is highlighted by the large-format floor tiles from the "Urban" collection, in size 80×80 cm. "Urban" is a porcelain tile made using 3D digital technology. Offering excellent technical performance, it has a non-invasive texture that blends seamlessly with the other covering materials used in the project, such as stone and wood. "Urban" has been widely used in the resort, in a range of different contexts such as the bedrooms, bathrooms, reception area and the events room.
The entire resort is steeped in carefully crafted details, including upholstered beds, metal-and-wood bedside tables and classically styled lamps in the bedrooms on the upper floor, and minimalist bathrooms furnished with "Slice" and "Flow" washbasins designed by Monia Marzano for Arca, and "Start" sanitaryware designed for Valdama. The artificial lighting comes courtesy of such classics of Italian design as the "Zeppelin and Taraxacum" lamps by Flos and the "Aplomb" units by Foscarini.
