The Quinquennial Tile Award: the awarded projects

For the fourth edition of the Quinquennial Tile Award, five winning projects will be awarded on September 27 in Bologna, in the prestigious Palazzo De’ Toschi. The international award organized by the Fincibec Group, dedicated to the creators of living spaces, has encouraged interesting and original works worldwide. The designers used ceramic surfaces branded Monocibec, Century and Naxos, in order to interpret clients’ desires, technical and structural needs.

The jury elected “Hesquin” as the best project of the 2011-2015 quinquennium: it is a private villa designed by the architecture BESPOKE design studio by Eddie da Silva, overlooking one of the most beautiful South Africa coastlines, the Wilderness Western Cape. Then there are: an impressive building complex about to be completed at Greenwich Wharf, in London (UK), curated by Squire and Partners designers; the restaurant La Biloria in Legnano (Milan, Italy) designed by the architect Nicola Ghilardi; the Hotel Gkeea, the complete renovation of a tourist facility of the Chalkidiki peninsula (Greece) curated by the architect Panou Polytimi; the pool built at Borgo della Spiga, an accommodating facility surrounded by the Marches countryside, in Cingoli (Macerata, Italy).

Moreover, the fifth edition of The Quinquennial Tile Award will be launched during Cersaie 2016: in fact, from September 26, 2016 the projects made of ceramics Monocibec, Century e Naxos (between 2013 and 2017) can be submitted for the award.
