SanMarco has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainable architecture by collaborating with the prestigious project entitled “La Casa dell’Energia” (“The House of Energy”), which was recently launched in the Cittadella di Mirano (Venice).
Funded by the Province of Venice with the contribution of around 25 specialised companies, one of which is SanMarco-Terreal Italia, the initiative involves the construction of an innovative high energy efficiency building featuring the very best technologies (both established and experimental) in the fields of energy saving, energy efficiency and photovoltaic, thermal and home automation systems, as well as its subsequent use for educational and informative purposes on the subject of energy. In this case, San Marco-Terreal Italia supplied high-performance clay product systems including cladding solutions with bright yellow coloured soft mud strips and ventilated terracotta facades with grey Piterak panels. These systems are able to create contemporary architecture with a modern look while maintaining the warmth and beauty of natural terracotta. From a technical standpoint, the ventilated façade has a high capacity for thermal regulation while the clay makes a contribution in terms of the mass effect and water regulation.
