In September, Bologna renews its appointment with the design

247 events in 6 days of exhibit, reaching about 40,000 attendances. These are the figures with which the Bologna Design Week closed last October, laying the groundwork for the 2017 edition scheduled for September 26 to 30 in Bologna.

Cersaie, the International Ceramic Exhibit for Architecture and Bathroom furniture, will be partner of the initiative, coinciding with the Bolognese trade fair.

The BDW, now in its third year, will include different themes, ranging from design culture, fashion and food, which will enliven the city center with shows, design exhibitions, workshops, competitions, events, guided tours and thematic design talks. On Wednesday, September 27, the night will be lived up with the “Design Night”, organized in collaboration with Confcommercio Ascom Bologna.

Several events have been already revealed: such as the contest “Temporary Living Space”, dedicated to architects and interior designers for the temporary set-up of the Eighteenth Century Hall of Palazzo Isolani, designed for Molteni&C|Dada, and the exhibition “Scatto Libero. Dino Gavina dieci”, set up at Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande by Elena Brigi and Daniele Vincenzi and supported by HERA Group.

The spaces of Galleria Cavour will be other main points of reference (being a historic hub for fashion, art and design), as well as the 1950s interiors of the former Corradi Fashion House, designed by the architect Enrico De Angeli, which will include a set-up curated by the architect Lorena Zùñiga Aguilera.

The deadline for the submission of projects is on June 30, 2017. For further information visit www.bolognadesignweek.com
