Stephan Poppelmann won the International Design Awards of Victoria + Albert

The German designer Stephan Pӧppelmann won the International Design Awards organized by the British Victoria + Albert brand specialized in bathrooms; he has been awarded during the Furniture Exhibition (Salone del Mobile) in Milan.

Aimed at architects, designers and students, the first edition of the award involved the original design of a luxurious, compact and self-supporting bathroom space of 2 m x 3 m realized using products from Victoria + Albert collection, as well as tubs and washbasin in QUARRYCAST®, the special material that combines Volcanic Limestone ™ and resin, including brass optional, furniture and bathroom console both traditional and contemporary.

According to the company, the winning project designed by Stephan Pӧppelmann stood out for its combination of wellness, ergonomics and functionality. A compact bath for two people, divided into 2 distinct areas separated by a sliding glass wall, "Aqua Zone", with the ios bath, the Tubo 21 shower and the "Comfort Zone" with a piece of furniture and two washbasins of the ios 54 collection. The selection of materials and colors gives the space a natural and timeless charm. The stone effect on floors and walls shows the natural luster of the ios bath. Comfort, seats, containers and lighting have been carefully designed to confirm that even small spaces can be comfortable.
