The entire world of Italian and international tiling will be on show - during the five days of Cersaie 2017 - at Tiling Town, in Area 49, adjacent to the Piazza Costituzione entrance to the Bologna Exhibition Centre.
For its 6th edition, Tiling Town has reserved 5 work in-progress areas for demonstrating classic tiling techniques (flatness, preparation of the substrate, preparation of the bathroom, coating the substrate with adhesive, floating cladding/façade), with an additional area for demonstrating installation techniques for large panels.
Every day, the last of these will also host technical seminars for designers about large panels, with two hours of theory and two hours of practical workshop experience, worth four professional training credits.
In line with the international character of Cersaie, Tiling Town goes beyond the borders of Italy, hosting a variety of official and professional meetings including those with the Federation of European Tile Fixers (EUF) and its USA sibling, the NTCA.
There will also be a seminar on insurance policies for tile fixers and the General Assembly of Work Site Technicians.
A large space inside Area 49 will be occupied by Assoposa (the National Association of Tile Laying Companies and Technicians), whose master tile installers will demonstrate how to install large and thin panels and indoors and outdoors coverings, for all visitors to Cersaie to view and enjoy.
Finally, Tiling Town will also feature a large sphere, covered in ceramic tiles, designed by architect Valentino Scaccabarozzi.
